Under 8’s B 3 – 1 Reddish Pheonix 1 Daniel Johnson – 2 goals Hamman – 1 goal Man of the Match – Daniel Johnson A new season and a new team with several new players who joined us during the summer months and what a way to start the season with a solid performance against Reddish Pheonix. Defence was solid and ably supported by a strong midfield and finished off with a hard working attack. The lads started slowly as they took time to get their bearings but once they found them they opened up the Pheonix with good passing football. 2 goals from Daniel and a goal from Hamman were enough to seal victory for the lads and with a little more confidence they could have bagged more. Well done lads and lets keep this up for next week. Under 8’s A 5 – 0 Reddish Pheonix Connor Nolan – 2 goalsJack Cherry – 1 goalLouis Hammond – 1 goal Man of the Match – Connor Nolon The A team was similar to last seasons but with a little more experience and time together which has been showing in training as the lads improve. Today was their first league game and the victory was so comprehensive that you had to feel sorry for Josh in goal. He hardly touched the ball as the oppositon was reduced to just 2 chances in the whole 30 minutes. The team was dominant and if we had took our chances the score could have been 15 – 0. On to next week and the lads need to continue to work hard and more importantly work as a team and work for each other.
