Man of the Match – Raheem – Worked hard today and fully deserved the MOM award.

 Arriving at the game today I couldn’t stop thinking I had forgot something. Walking to the ground soaking up the atmosphere I still couldn’t remember what I had forgotten. And then the game started and it hit me.

 WD40!!!!!

The squeeks and creaks coming from the pitch confirmed that the lads were a bit rusty today and in need of some extra help from a quick spray of WD40. Alas I had forgotten it so the lads had to fight through the pain barrier of rusty limbs to play today. The game started well for us with Michael scoring first from a corner taken by Raheem but unfortunately the lead didn’t last long before 3D’s came back at us putting Zack and Raheem under pressure and grabbing more goals to take the lead. The lads continued to fight and pulled a goal back through Daniel who scored from close range. In the second half Adam and Ubaida entered the fray but unfortunately 3D’s scored again to wrap up the win for themselves.

 The lads tried today but the lack of recent games seemed to show and we quickly need to get back to full form for next weeks game against a strong Brendon Bees outfit. We need to see stronger tackling at the back and more passing upfront. Often the quickest way to beat a man is to pass it to your team mate and then run into the space created for the return ball.

Connor – 2 Goals

Man of the Match – Connor – Awarded for a hard working display.

 The lads won this one without needing to be at their best today. Again it seems a touch of WD40 may have helped as we missed a host of chances that got created. Morgan opened the scoring with a strong shot into the roof of the net from just outside the box with Connor adding a second off his body from a corner. Louis and Jack kept it tight at the back and provided the platform for the 3 lads upfront to build on. Both Morgan on the Left and Daniel on the right provided balls into the box but we saw shot after shot going wide or hitting the post. Add into the mix a few miscontrols and we could have gone to town today. Connor added a 3^rd and Morgan a late 4^th to complete the win but we know we can play better and Ivan and myself put today down to a lack of match practise but also too much messing about and sillyness before the game which must be cut out. We need you to concentrate before the match and get yourselves prepared for the game to ensure we don’t come a cropper one week.

 Brendon Bees next week who are one of the stronger teams in our league, so lets work hard in training on Friday, work as a team, and help each other out which means less name calling and more encouragement for each other.
