Waterloo 8 Chadderton Youth 2.
Half time 6 - 1.
Certainly a game of two halves, second match in succession when
the team havn't come out in the first half.
Within 5 minutes they found themselves 2 - 0 down with some poor
defending and poor luck. AM clearing the ball from the box found an
opposition head and the ball in the back of the net.
A couple of off side decisions but all in all for the first half no one turned up.
Chadderton's goal came from a free kick by JW, 3 chaddy players attacking the
ball and SR in the right place to tap home.
Second half saw more grit, determination and Chadderton beginning to play some
football. A well taken goal from SR having beat the off side trap. Another two chances
missed by the lads. The big difference in the team was Waterloo taking all their chances
and ready to play from the whistle. Man of the match was the goal keeper AT, some good
shot stopping and brave when coming out to the edge of the box.
Next week finds us home against Hyde Utd at Radclyffe. Definately a winnable game, if
the team are ready from the whistle.
