Under 8’s Match Report – 6th March 2010
Under 8s A 9 – 1 Heyside A
Conner – 3 Goals
Louis – 3 Goals
Morgan – 2 Goals
Madjid – 1 Goal
Man of the Match – Daniel – Having a tough time made tougher with a ball smacked into the face but came back on 2nd half and worked hard
I have run out of superlatives for the team that quite simply swept Heyside away today with a 9-1 demolition job were every player worked hard to avenge the only team to have beat the A team in the league this season. Talking of the league Chadderton FC Juniors under 8s are currently top of our division which is based on the combined scores of both the A and B team games meaning as a combined pair we have only lost 1 game which was against FC Sports. With 3 games left if we continue as we are we would be league winners in our first full season which would be a fantastic achievement so keep it up lads. Back to the game and I simply cannot remember every goal. The stand out goals being a mazy run and goal from the halfway line from Louis, a 20 yard piledriver from Madjed that stunned the Heyside goalkeeper, and a strong shot across the keeper from Mussa which Morgan helped over the line. Jack was also unlucky with a header flashing wide as he connected with a corner from Morgan.
Another good performance today from the lads but we would like to see more discipline from the players when watching the B team as Ivan and myself need to concentrate on the team on the pitch and not the one messing about on the sidelines.
Under 8s B 2 – 2 Heyside B
Michael – 2 Goals
Man of the Match – Drey – Second game for us and second game ever. Good prospect for us between the sticks
An excellent game of end to end football today finishing with a fair result for both teams who both put in a lot of effort. Heyside twice took the lead only for Michael to pull us back level with another 2 goals to add to his tally for the season. Heyside had a couple of strong players in today meaning Raheem, Arman, and Adam had to work hard in midfield whilst Zack and Ubaida had to work to keep their forwards at bay. Chances were few upfront but Michael managed to grab a couple with his first one being an excellent goal to bring us level.
For his troubles Adam got a ball in the face and like Daniel for the A team came back on after taking a few minutes to recover and continued to help the team push forward for that winning goal. Daniel J came close as did Michael but in the end a draw was a fair result.
Again like the A team I would also point out that you all need to behave and support the team on the pitch when you are not playing.
3 games left now in this season so lets go for 3 more wins.
