Under 8’s Match Report – 13^th March 2010

Under 8s B  3 – 0  Hollingworth B

Adam – 1 Goal

Michael  – 1 Goal

Dominic – 1 Goal

Man of the Match – Zack – Worked well today and deserved the award.

“There’s only one Adam Sharp. One Adam Sharppppppppp” First goal today for the season for Adam with a rocket across the box leaving the Hollingworth keeper stranded and dazed. Well done Adam and again well deserved. Adams goal opened the scoring with Dominic close behind as we went into a 2 goal lead against Hollingworth who were kept at bay by a good performance in defence by Zack and Ubaida.

Second half and Michael made it 3 as we continued to dominate the game. Daniel and Raheem had some good runs with both of them tackling hard in midfield to break up Hollingworths play. Reece worked down the left whilst Arman worked down the right as we continued to create chances although we need to get our passes off earlier to create even more chances.

The team is now on 45 goals and with 2 games left can we get to the magic 50?

Under 8s A  6 – 0  Hollingworth A

Conner – 3 Goals

Louis – 2 Goals

Morgan – 1 Goal

Man of the Match – Louis – played well today and was the engine room for the team today.

First half finished 0-0, how, I don’t know but it did and the players got told to improve their game for the second half as we should have been out of sight rather than coming off at 0-0.

Second half and this time the chances went in with Morgan opening the scoring quickly followed by Conner and Louis. The passing started to flow again with Jack, Mussa, and Danny all making good passes to create openings for the team which this time got converted into goals. The pick of the goals being Conners superb angled drive into the net from 10 centimetres out. So high was the quality of this goal that Louis was overcome with emotion as the ball hit the back of the net after Louis superb set up

Another 6 goals for with none conceded but we still need to see/hear more communication on the pitch and more sharing of responsibility. Next season will see bigger pitches and with a promotion better teams meaning we have to continue to work together and improve together.
